  • The farm is on sloping land with fertile soil.
  • The cocoa is planted on a 3M x 3M pattern and 67 trees were side grafted about 3 years ago.
  • The farm requires shade trees planted as it is currently unshaded.

Farm Issues

  • Cocoa pod borer is the main pest and disease issues.
  • Only basic farm practices applied.
  • There are approximately 260 trees that are dead and require replacing (34% of the farm)

  • Total harvest per year = +/- 400kg from 0.70 hectares (est. 571kg/ha)
