For The Future Of Cocoa

Visiting Hamza

Posted on February 11, 2014 by Cocoa Care | 0 comments

On February 7, 2014 Cocoa Carer Darwis and Zainuddin visited Hamza's farm to see how he was progressing prior to the main crop coming in May / June.

It is clear that his efforts are paying off with thousands of flowers visible on every tree which will soon (as you know) become cocoa pods.

His 7 month old top grafted seedlings look great and healthy and follow up fertilizing has already been completed. The shade trees planted, also as part of your program, have developed extremely well and providing appropriate shade to the cocoa farm.

Hamza has also added drainage channels to his farm recently.

The farm has been kept very well maintained and this should be a good season for Hamza who previously had zero productivity from his farm.

L: 7 month old cocoa trees and well growing shade trees. R: New drainage channels.

New cocoa trees are growing well.
