Meet The Recipients of Your Sponsorship

We would like to introduce you to the people who will receive help thanks to your sponsorship. 

Name: Rezki. 

Age: 18 Years Old (as of 2013)

Parents: Darwis and Wahidah

 

Rezki is an 18 year old female who has just started university studying mathematics at the University Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Rezki's long term goal is to become a mathematics teacher. 

 

We will be speaking with Rezki in the coming week to determine how we can assist with her studies and relieve some financial pressures on Rezki and her family. 

 

 


Name: Farmer Sakti and his wife Asijah 

Children: Vania, 5 year old girl

Sakti and Asijah have 1.4 hectares of cocoa farming land over two plots. Several issues are faced in this farm; cocoa pod borer and black pod, basic farm practices applied and around 30% of the cocoa trees need replacing. 

Your sponsorship will provide Sakti with:

1. Essential in-class and on-farm training in GAP (good agricultural practices)

2. Tools and equipment for him.

4. Pest management materials and safety equipment for 12 months. 

5. Support from an experienced Cocoa Carer for the duration of the program.  

This program will greatly help Sakti and Asijah out of their current difficulties and onto a path to sustainable cocoa farming giving them a much brighter future for their family. 

On December 2, Sakti will be attending training - the first positive step forward.
